In diverse saturated bedding market, we may find bed linen may made from varieties of material and given many fancy or marketing term to it. Cotton has been known for one of the best choice for our bedding products especially bed linen.
As we know, cotton is the best gift from our mother earth. Due to it's naturally grown from cotton plant, the cotton fibres could be long and short. Long fibre cotton, like Supima Cotton, Sea Island Cotton and Egyptian Cotton is kind of cotton that derived from the cotton plant that genetically superior in producing long fibre cotton. Long fibre cotton will gives us superior hands feel, less peel, less fray and less fade. So it may retain the original appearance even repeated washes.
Secondly would be thread count. We also know that due to competition in the market, thread count that specified at the product packaging can be very tricky. Usually thread count on cotton fabric should followed by a specified square area on the particular fabric. For instance, 300 Thread Counts Per Square Inch - mean to said this fabric in an area of square inch will have sum of 300 threads in Weft (Horizontal) and Warp (Vertical) and it is not what usually claimed in market like 1000 thread count, 1500 thread count. Therefore DO NOT falls into the thread count numbers war.
Lastly is quality of the cotton yarn. The finesse of the cotton yarn is expressed in count or linear density. There are many type of cotton yarn numbers like 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 60s, 80s, 100s, and so on. The higher the number, the more finesse the fabric are.
